Christianity Sucks!

Romans 2:25-27 (NIV)
25 Circumcision has value if you observe the law, but if you break the law, you have become as though you had not been circumcised. 26If those who are not circumcised keep the law’s requirements, will they not be regarded as though they were circumcised? 27 The one who is not circumcised physically and yet obeys the law will condemn you who, even though you have the written code and circumcision, are a lawbreaker.

It’s pretty easy to say and claim we’re Christians but not living like one. Whenever we hear people saying “I’m a Christian” and see their daily living not pleasing to God or do not show any sign of Christ-like character - that makes “Christianity sucks!“.

The word “Christianity” is meaningless if we do not put Christ’s teachings into practice. The same thing with those people who are attentively listening to pastor’s sermons, always attending in cell group or prayer meeting but still living under the bondage of sin.I know that we are all “in the process of changing” but others take so long to be changed. Why? Because they are not trying to apply what they have heard even though they know that the Word of God is so powerful that makes them cried (remember your last camp when you cried?).

So, if we are really “hardcore” enough to be a Christian, then represent Christ and live by His word. Let other people see Christ in us. Put God’s word into practice!

I was so excited last night to create a blog account for our daily journal. It was so exciting that we can use even a “hi-tech” gadgets such as computer and Internet to praise and worship God. One thing I have learned: I can spend time leading others to Christ and I’m also considered as one of the leaders in our church for couple of years even at this time, but now it’s about time to live as a “servant” following simple rules such as doing daily blog. Although this is not my type of activity that I want to do but because I’m practicing servant hood I have to do this. Does it make sense?

Yesterday, as I read the first few chapters of Leviticus, God reminded me about the purpose of the blood of Christ for the atonement of my sins. I don’t have to buy a sheep or a dove in order for me to be cleansed before facing God. But God has remove my guilt already through the blood of Jesus Christ. I praise God for granting one of my prayers - it’s very personal but it makes my day totally different.

(Sorry, I haven’t read Romans yet because I’m still reading Leviticus at this time. My next blog will be related to Romans. :D)
